Birthday, Weekend, Wings and Vikings!

So, it's just about 40 minutes or so before kickoff of Vikings at Jets!  I am so excited to be able to watch MY team out here in Denver!  We usually get the West Coast team games and - well - whateva!!  We just got back from getting some wings for supper while we watch the game!  Yum!!  Wings and Football just GO together!!  Don't you think?

I know it will be a tough game...and with the controversy about Brett and the return of Randy Moss, it should be at least interesting!  Go Vikes!!  You can do it!

My 49th Birthday was this past Friday.  It was a good day I guess...I had to work and it turned into the most stressful day ever!  Just customer problems and different issues to deal with I guess. Mom took me out to lunch - Thanks Mom! And Mark let me go home a little early so that was nice!  A fellow co-worker had invited Steve and I to a local bar called the "Haufbrou" for Happy Hour, but we took a rain check.  My dear sister Lisa had already invited us to her house for cocktails, fun and a steak dinner!  We got there around 6:30, had some laughs, listened to concert videos and just had the best time!  Before we knew it, it was almost 10pm so we opted out of a big steak dinner that night....Got up early the next day and headed home.  Steve had a 9am soccer game for his daughter Jen and I had an appt to get my hair done at 11am.  After my appt, Steve and I headed back up to Lisa's and had our awesome steak dinner for Saturday lunch!! Yay!  It was really really good!  Thank you Sis for thinking of me and having us over for a nice cozy get together!  We had so much fun!  I forgot my little baby birthday cheesecake though!  She put a candle in it and her and Steve sang Happy Birthday to me!  I actually got all teared up!!  I have no idea why!! LOL
After we got home Sat afternoon, we got busy and cleaned the house.  Because..............

Sunday morning our landlords came over to winterize the swamp cooler.  They hadn't been here since we moved in and we wanted to make sure they knew they made the right decision in renting to us!! It was cold and overcast and so warm and cozy in the house!  Around 10, we put together a great big batch of homemade chili and let it simmer ALL day.  The house smelled so good!  (And it was yummy!)  So, I think they are pleased with their decision.  They complemented us on how good the yard looked and how cozy things were!  Yay!
After they left, it was laundry time and just relaxing in the sweats watching football....well watching endless hours of tv, for reals.
All in all, it was a great weekend!  Next weekend we are going to do a day trip down by Colorado Springs to catch some of the Aspens! Should be awesome!!

Happy Birthday this week to Jodi!!  30 years old!! Yay!  You will like 30.... if I could go back to any age of my choice, it would be about 32-34.  It is a great time in your life!!!
Thank you so much for the "B" charm for my Grandbaby Vintage Pearl necklace!  It is so beautiful!!  I love it!

Well, time to go watch the game!

Have a good one everybody!

(Note:  I did not take ONE. SINGLE. PICTURE. all weekend!  I know, shame on me..but I will try and do a better job from now on!)
