Lisa and I went to visit Mom this morning at the hospital. She had an emergency apendectomy at 3:00 this morning. Her appendix had ruptured and she is full of infection.... She was pretty out of it, and a little nauseous. She just wanted to rest, so we only stayed a few minutes. We went and picked her up a new nighty, robe and slippers and dropped them off at the house where Jerry was getting a bag ready for her...Poor thing! Mom NEVER gets sick!! It's just really strange knowing that she's in the hospital, because she hasn't been in a hospital for 35 years!! We know that she is strong and will recover rather quickly...she's always been healthy as hell!! The doctors are saying she'll probably be there for 4-5 days until the infection clears up.
She really didn't want any visitors at all, so I'll wait until sometime tomorrow to go back and visit. Hopefully she will be feeling more like her old self!
