We had purchased a big rack of pork ribs yesterday, so today was my first ever attempt at them on the grill!
First I made my own rub. It consisted of Garlic powder, Onion powder, dry mustard, paprika, Celery salt and then I added a Weber steak rub to the mix!
I put the rub on and let the ribs sit in the fridge for the afternoon.
Then it was time for the grill! I cooked them on a higher heat to get the "crust" of the rub cooked in.
Then it was time for the BBQ Sauce!
I used this Cattleman's BBQ sauce...because it was on sale, and I have to say, It was most awesome! I would buy this again! It is the Kansas City version.
While the grilling was going on, this little weather disturbance decided to decend upon our neighborhood! The wind kicked up, swirling around and it was just plain nasty! We even had to move the BBQ grill out of the wind, because it kept going out!!! Grrr....and my ribs were there for the long haul man.....I wasn't going to have this ruined by a little weather!!!
Then, after about 30 minutes, it blew over and we were left with this! ( I think I have tried to capture rainbows above our house at least 5 times this Summer!) This was another double, but I dont' think I caputred it.
So, the skies once again cleared up and the sun was shining....yay! (It really was a most gorgeous day)
This is a picture of the ribs.....grill grill grill! Yum!
So after about 2 hours on a low heat, they were ready to go! We had Olathe sweet corn, cut up cucumbers and sliced tomatoes!
This was actually one of the most delicious meals I have had (made) in a long time! Absolutely scrumptious! I have never done the rack of ribs before and was a little intimidated, but I stuck with my plan and it worked out perfectly! Now I'm full, tomorrow is Monday, and I am ready to go to bed!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Everything looked delicious - especially the ribs! yum!
