I think it has been awhile since I have posted anything on this here blog of mine! Nothing, I mean Nothing has even been remotely going on in my life that would be 'blog-able'! Seriously, it has been so boring lately. I guess once Thanksgiving rolls around and we get in the Holiday spirit, things will pick up for me!! Ha! Saturday morning Steve and I hit the grocery store and then headed to the Denver Rescue Mission downtown with a bunch of food to donate. We brought a 20lb turkey, some stuffing mix and some canned vegetables! We had heard that they hadn't received a single turkey as of last Thursday so we tried to do our small part. As of this morning - Monday - they are receiving many and are almost at their goal of 3,000 turkeys! I'm so glad, because really - turkeys are quite cheap so there is no reason most of us couldn't donate!
Mom's 70th Birthday was on Friday, so on Saturday night we all met at her house for a Mexican Buffet. (This is what she wanted, so Lisa, Steve and I hooked her up!) I did have my camera, but only took a couple of pictures...I know, bad Lori.
Here is the Birthday girl
Steve and I and Lisa all went together and got her a Kindle. I still have to show her how to use it, but I think in the end, she is going to love it! I would love to have one too, but that will have to wait. Too many other things on my want/need list!
Sunday we didn't do a whole lot. Watched some football and racing, froze my butt off and then went to bed at 8:30! This year the time change has REALLY gotten to me! I am ready for bed by 8pm every night! I hope that goes away soon, or I'm really going to be in trouble! AND I wont' have anything to blog about because I will always be sleeping! Ha!
