Hi! I'm back! My days lately have been filled with only two things: Working and House Hunting. This looking at houses to rent is absolutely exhausting, stressful, and just plain ICKY! There are so many people looking at just so many houses....if you dont' make a decision RIGHT NOW...you will lose out. We have lost out on two great houses so far, and I'm sure that wont' be the end of it. I'm the type of person who may have to "think about it" for a day or so, but aparently you can't do that!!! Ugggh...my type A personality and being a Libra is working against me in the quest for new digs! My thinking is this: If I'm going to commit and live in a home for a year, I want it to be so so...right? It's a big decision for crying out loud!! With all that, I'm confident that we will find something that fits ALL of our criteria and be able to move soon....I want to be able to enjoy an outdoor space this Summer and have room for my family when they visit....Fingers crossed for us....Please???
So yesterday on Sunday, it was nice and time to get out of the condo. Steve had heard about this old war plane that was being showcased at the Rocky Mountain Regional Airport in Broomfield. So we headed off in search of a little adventure. We arrived at the airport and sure enough, there was this incredible airplane that was made in 1945. That is 65 years old! These planes were flown in WWII and the Korean War....
Ok...I'm NOT a big war buff.....I love history, but not this kind of history. But I have to say, when I saw this plane land, sit on the tarmac, and then take off again - I had goose bumps and maybe, just maybe my eyes watered up a little. Steve's Grandfather flew these planes back in the day. Unfortunatly he is not with us anymore...so I know it was cool for him to see this plane up close and personal.
I won't bore you with any more details, so I will post some pics from our day!
I have to say, I really enjoyed myself. After that we went home and made homemade burritos...YUM! They were soooo good! I had a couple margaritas with dinner and then to bed. Today was another beginning to the week. Now as well as finding a home, My mind is ALWAYS on Jodi and this new baby girl I can't wait to meet! Only a couple weeks and I'll be visiting them in Iowa to love on ALL my Grandbabies including new baby girl XXXXXX!!! I can't wait! Steve already informed me that he will hopefully be here busy packing for a move !!!!! Lot's of things to look forward to and be excited about!

House hunting is a BIG stresser!! I wish Seth and I would have looked a little longer as well and not settled as I call it!! Your situation is different because your just renting, but still want it to be right!!
ReplyDeleteThose planes looked pretty awesome... We are thinking about taking Blake to the big air show in Sioux City this summer, not my thing but I think he would get a big kick out of it!!
GOOD LUCK in finding a new place... and hopefully a big enough one for us to stay with you when we visit!!! CAN'T wait to see you in 2 weeks!!! And also VERY VERY VERY excited about the new addition next week:)
Good luck!! I hope you find something that will be perfect for you guys.....it will be nice to have your own space, and room to breathe!!! Also looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks---I know my girls are too!! They keep talking about "Nana coming to visit!" I think Malia associates you with when we had Jillian, because she keeps saying you will be here to take her to the hospital to see the new baby and you will sleep in the back room! HA!!! LOVE YOU!!!
